Description
A necessary ingredient of curry powder, turmerc or haldi powder is often used in curries, with lentils and meat dishes. Also used for colour it can be substituted for saffron to add a golden glow to rice and is often added to mustard and relishes.Ground Tumeric comes from fingers which extend from the root. It is boiled or steamed and then dried and ground.
